Artist: Gerry Brown

Gerry was born in Northern Ireland and grew up in England.  He travelled extensively to Australia and America and in fact worldwide.  He played music in most of the bars and clubs and joined the Miami Showband.  On his return to England he started writing and performing his repertoire of songs and with his famous Eurovision winning sister Dana and they performed for the Pope.

On a break from one of his gigs Gerry met Patrick Grant who was laying some tracks at a recording studio.  Patrick asked Gerry to join him at the studio and he was so impressed with what he heard that he asked Patrick if he could sing on the recording of “Harmony” a track written and arranged by Patrick.  He went on to sing “Stir A Little Sweetness” written by Patrick Grant and Carl Douglas and “In the City” which he penned both tracks produced and arranged by Patrick.  They then collaborated on Patrick’s arrangement of “Sympathy for the Devil”.  That chance meeting started a long and lasting friendship.  While they were in Huey, Alabama Gerry received news of his father’s illness and being so far away penned “I’m Coming Home” which he and Patrick produced.
